When will your plane land in Tokyo? Have you found a hotel already? There's also a possibility for you to order a JR railway pass, since you are going to osaka anyway. It covers all your travels in tokyo and the trip to osaka, you just have to order the right one, there are a few different types depending on which areas you want to include in it. Then you can you the shinkansen to go to osaka and don't have to pay extra much for the ticket, and as I said it can be used for the normal trais/metro in tokyo. I probably won't take it since you have to order it before hand, unless I manage to actually decide to go to osaka before I land in tokyo. But if you want to make it cheaper then I think the bus and normal metro tickets or a suica card in tokyo would be a wiser decision. Actually I'll check the bus prices now.
